Terra is the daughter of the Esper Maduin and a human mother, Madeline (Madonna in the original translation). Her heritage as a magical being is the source of her powers. Terra was raised as a soldier of the Empire after Gestahl's forces attacked the Espers' home and captured several of the creatures. Her potential was quickly realized, and it's said that she destroyed fifty Magitek soldiers in a single exercise. When the game begins, Terra is wearing a Crown that suppresses her free will and gives the Empire complete control over her. An encounter with the frozen Esper, Valigarmanda (Tritoch in the original US translation), in the mines of Narshe breaks the Crown's control over her, but leaves her as an amnesiac. She is rescued by Arvis, and later, Locke, both members of the Returners, an underground anti-Empire resistance movement, and eventually joins its ranks. After the destruction of the Floating Continent, Terra finds her way to Mobliz, and has lost the will to fight. She looks after the orphaned children with the teenaged Duane and Katarin, until one day when Humbaba, a monster that had defeated her before, attacks; she assists the party in defeating him once and for all, and joins them. Although she is expected to fade along with the rest of the Espers when magic disappears from the world, she is told by the Magicite remains of her father Maduin that she can choose to leave her Esper side behind, and she does.Terra's special skill, Trance (Morph in the SNES version), does not appear until later in the game. Contact with Valigarmanda unleashes her unknown Esper form: a naked glowing pink figure with wild hair. In this form, she can fly. Afterwards, she possesses the ability to switch between human and Esper forms. When in Esper form her physical power, magical power and magical defense all double. However, she can only keep the form for a limited period of time. Additionally, when riding Magitek armor, Terra has access to a number of unique techniques, including Bio Blast, Confuser, Magitek Missile and Banisher, since she uses a more advanced form of armor than any other characters, including Biggs and Wedge. She is also one of only two characters with the ability to learn magic without the aid of Espers, but her magic is relatively limited before the party acquires any Magicite. Eiko Carol
Eiko is one of the playable characters that joins the party in the second disc of the game. She is the only person who appears in the game with a Summoner's Horn.Eiko is one of the two last surviving Summoners of Madain Sari (the other being Garnet). Eiko's family was not in Madain Sari when it was destroyed by Garland. They returned to the ruins of the village four years later, when Eiko was very young. Eiko's parents died early, leaving her grandfather to raise her. However, he passed away as well when she was five. Fortunately for Eiko, the moogles in the area decided to take care of her. She became very mature for her age and helped them as well, stealing food from the nearby village of Conde Petie for them when it was needed. Zidane and the rest of the party found her caught in a tree after she fled the scene of one of her thefts. After they got her down, she decided to show them Madain Sari and then to join the party, despite the fact that her grandfather had told her not to leave until she was sixteen. Eiko develops a huge crush on Zidane, and considers Garnet to be her rival for his affections.Eiko has a guardian female moogle who goes by the name of Mog. During an extraction of Eiko's eidolons (the same process Thorn and Zorn used on Garnet/Dagger in Alexandria) Mog goes into a trance to protect Eiko and transforms into Madeen. After the battle, she gives Eiko the ribbon she wore so that Eiko can summon her at will. After defeating Kuja, one of the scenes in the game shows Eiko referring to Cid and Hilda as her parents. Although the Regent had never established an adoption, his wife, Hilda, acknowledges it. Teepo
A purple-haired orphan found by Rei an undisclosed period of time before the thief found Ryu. Teepo is a classic punk, he despises authority and loves to lash against it, though he craves attention as well. Despite his gruff attitude, he cares deeply for his adopted brothers Rei and Ryu, and losing them would severely scar him emotionally. As disclosed near the end-game, Teepo was also a member of the Brood, and a fellow Clansman to Ryu; but unlike Ryu, he agreed with Mariya's assessment that the Brood were far too powerful to be left to their own devices and allowed himself to be imprisoned in Eden for eternity. He attempted to turn Ryu to his side, but in the end failed. Slain by his comrades, his last words were that he only wanted the life he Rei and Ryu had all those years ago back.As Teepo is only available in the very first few hours of gameplay, the player only gets a sampling of what Teepo would be like as a full character. In battle Teepo is a moderately powerful swordsman, but an even better magician. Though Nina will most likely outstrip him due to her assortment of powerful spells, he is still indispensably useful for the time you can use him.The duality between Ryu and Teepo is a recurring theme of the game. They are of the same species and the same apparent age, they both start at Level 1, and Rei found each of them under the same circumstances. Their sprites are even head swaps of one another. While Teepo starts as by learning attack magic, Ryu starts as a healer. Tifa Lockhart
Tifa Lockhart was born in Nibelheim and grew up next door to Cloud Strife. Though they knew each other since childhood, circumstances prevented them from getting close, and Cloud was left to admire Tifa from afar. When Tifa was eight, her mother died, and soon after, believing that her mother's spirit may have passed through the mountains, she decided to follow the path leading up the nearby Mt. Nibel. Her three closest friends, who were afraid to follow her up the mountain, abandoned her one by one. Cloud, however, who had been following them unnoticed, continued on after Tifa. When Tifa missed her footing on a rope bridge leading into the mountain, he ran to save her but was too late, and both of them fell into the gorge below.Cloud survived the accident while suffering no more than scraped knees, but Tifa was in a coma for a week. Tifa's father held Cloud responsible for the incident, and his relationship with Tifa remained distant. Cloud blamed himself for the accident as well and felt that he had been unable to save Tifa because of his own weakness. His self-reproach led to anger toward himself, which then led to him into fights with others. Later, he would hear of Sephiroth, a legendary soldier admired by many young men, and he would conceive a plan to prove to himself and to everyone else that he was just as strong as the other children. At the age of fourteen, Cloud asked Tifa to meet him one evening at the well in the center of town. Cloud then told her of his plans to leave for Midgar and join SOLDIER. It is later revealed that this decision was largely influenced by a desire not only to become strong enough to protect Tifa, but also to impress her as well. Tifa was both surprised and disappointed at Cloud's news; she asked him to promise that if he achieved his dream and that if she were ever in danger, he would come to her rescue.Springtime came and Cloud left for Midgar. Despite never really being close with Cloud, Tifa found his departure harder than she had expected. She began to think about him frequently, wondering whether he was well and whether he had achieved his dream. She began to read the newspapers, thinking there might be an article about him, but it would be years before she heard any news of him. When she was fifteen, Tifa acted as a Nibelheim guide for a group of SOLDIER personnel inspecting the mako reactor on Mt. Nibel. The group consisted of the 1st-Class SOLDIERs Sephiroth and Zack Fair, as well as two MPs, one of which, unbeknownst to Tifa, was Cloud. After the inspection, the group returned to town, and Sephiroth stayed in the basement of the Shin-Ra Mansion to read through the research notes left by Professors Gast and Hojo. What he discovered brought about a gruesome change in him. Without warning, he set fire to Nibelheim in the night and slaughtered the townspeople. With her hometown in ruins and most of her loved ones dead, Tifa pursued Sephiroth as he returned to the reactor, only to find that Sephiroth had murdered her father as well. In a blind rage, she attempted to kill Sephiroth with his own sword. However, he proved too strong for her, and with terrifying ease he disarmed and inflicted critical injury to Tifa, very nearly killing her. As Cloud made his way into the reactor, he found Zack lying against some machinery with critical injuries, as well as Tifa's severely wounded and unconscious body at the bottom of the stairs leading into Jenova's chamber. Enraged, Cloud took up Zack's sword and ran it through Sephiroth's back before picking Tifa up and moving her to a safer area and more comfortable position. Cloud, taking up Zack's sword again, then confronted Sephiroth a second time, this time to kill him completely. Sephiroth stabbed him through the stomach, but with a final burst of strength Cloud lifted Sephiroth whilst still impaled, and threw him off the edge into the Lifestream below. In the aftermath of the incident, Zangan appeared on the scene and took the grievously injured Tifa to safety. Kairi
She is originally a resident of Hollow Bastion, but she was sent to the Destiny Islands by Xehanort a few years before the events of Kingdom Hearts. At the beginning of the series, she is 14 years old. During the events of the first game, her heart was separated from her body which led to Sora and Riku both searching for a way to revive her. Kairi's heart was discovered to be in Sora's body, at which point he gives up his heart in order to restore hers, transforming himself into a Heartless. Soon after, Kairi finds Sora's Heartless and restores him back to human form. After Ansem's defeat, Kairi is left behind on the reforming Destiny Islands and separated from Sora at the end of Kingdom Hearts. Sora promises to return to her with Riku, and Kairi waits on the island for their return. In Kingdom Hearts II, Kairi and all of Sora's friends slowly begin to remember Sora. After Sora's memories had been restored by Naminé, Kairi sends the letter drifting to the sea in hopes of that it will find its way to him. She is later confronted by Axel, who hopes to use Kairi to lure Sora to him. With the help of Pluto, Kairi evades him and heads to Twilight Town, but is captured by Axel soon after. However, Saïx takes Kairi from Axel and imprisons her and Pluto in a jail cell in The World That Never Was. She escapes her cell with the help of Naminé and they are saved from Saïx. Edea Kramer
Edea is initially presented as a power-hungry sorceress who seizes control of Galbadia from President Deling. Her motives are unknown, but SeeD is dispatched to assassinate her. Edea is also the wife of Headmaster Cid, and was known as "Matron" to Squall and his friends during the time when they lived with her at the orphanage. It is eventually revealed that Edea was possessed by a sorceress from the future named Ultimecia. When Ultimecia's control is broken, Edea takes the side of the SeeDs in the struggle and joins the party for a short time. However, she accidentally gives her powers to Rinoa, making her a sorceress. Being a sorceress, Edea attacks with magical bursts of energy and her Limit Break, Ice Strike, consists of a magically conjured icicle, hurled like a javelin. This Limit Break is depicted in a cutscene during her coronation as head of Galbadia when Ultimecia commands Edea's body to pierce Squall with it. She is playable only during a sequence in Disk Three. Quistis Trepe
Quistis is an eighteen year old instructor at Balamb Garden, where Squall, Zell, and Seifer are students. She uses a chain whip in battle, and her Limit Break, Blue Magic, allows her to imitate monsters' attacks. Emotionally, Quistis is insecure and prone to depression, although she tries to maintain a calm persona. Early in the game, Quistis is discharged as an instructor because she "[lacks] leadership qualities". Afterwards, she maintains a more informal relationship with the other characters as a fellow member of SeeD.As a child, Quistis stayed at an orphanage with most of the main characters. She then lived with foster parents, with whom she never developed any intimacy, before moving to Balamb Garden at age ten. She became a SeeD at fifteen and an instructor two years later.Quistis initially joins Squall to prepare him for his upcoming field exam. She later takes Squall into her confidence and tells him personally about her demotion. When Irvine refreshes the main characters' memories about the orphanage, they remember that Squall's antisocial behavior began when Ellone, an older sister figure to Squall, left the orphanage unexpectedly. As a result of these revelations, Quistis recognizes that her feelings for Squall are more sisterly than romantic. Later, she criticizes Squall when he nearly abandons Rinoa, his romantic interest. When designing the characters, Nomura had wanted at least one female character to wear a skirt. Quistis was originally supposed to fill this part, but Nomura decided a long skirt worn over pants would look better. The role was eventually passed to Selphie. Nomura was surprised when the writers cast her as a teacher, despite being around the same age as the rest of the groupe. She nearly made it into the most annoying section as well. Celes Chere
is a former general of the Empire, genetically enhanced and artificially infused with magic, making her the second Magitek Knight. Celes's special skill, Runic, allows her to absorb the next magic spell cast, converting it into magic points which she then absorbs. Celes is the only character besides Terra who can learn traditional magic without the aid of Espers.Celes was one of the two leading generals of the Empire, along with Leo. Accused of treason against the Empire, she is imprisoned and tortured in the town of South Figaro, where she is rescued by Locke, and allies herself with the Returners. She proves her loyalty on the Floating Continent when Kefka gives her a sword with which to attack the player characters and she instead attacks Kefka. She flees with the others when Kefka moves the Statues, bringing destruction to the world. In the World of Ruin, Celes is the first character reintroduced, awakening from a year-long coma on an unnamed island, and vowing to find her friends and defeat Kefka once and for all. If the player finds Locke, he and Celes share an ending in the credits, during which Locke saves her from falling off a ledge. Otherwise, Setzer takes Locke's place. Reina(lenna)
is the young princess of Tycoon, and begins the story as her father, King Alexander Tycoon, leaves to investigate the Wind Crystal. She follows him after he does not return and meets Bartz, starting the quest to save the Crystals. Lenna displays many traits of a stereotypical video game princess: she is beautiful, kind, and she also has a self-sacrificial streak that puts her in danger several times during the game. She is connected to the element of Water.Freya Crescent
Freya is a rat who's peoples mainly live in two cities, Burmecia and Cleyra. Freya's job (or class) is Dragon Knight. Unlike the Dragon Knights of other Final Fantasy games, Freya possesses a set of special skills in addition to her job's traditional ability — a common theme in Final Fantasy IX. These skills are known as "Dragon" skills and offer a range of attack, healing, and status-changing effects.Freya is originally from Burmecia, but when we meet her in the game, she has not been home for years {various points in the story say she was gone for three years, while others say it was five, leading to some confusion among fans}. When the man she loved, Sir Iron-Tail Fratley, left on a mission but never returned, she left home to find out what became of him, promising never to return until she found the truth. She moved to Lindblum and lived next to the Tantalus hideout for an unknown amount of time — Zidane, whom she met during this period, mentions this fact when the player encounters her in Lindblum, but does not exactly specify the timeframe. After this period in Lindblum, she headed out to wander the world. Freya returns to Lindblum to compete in the "Festival of the Hunt" around the same time that Zidane and Tantalus return from their mission to kidnap Princess Garnet.Freya is reunited with Sir Fratley during Alexandria's attack on Cleyra. Her joy is cut short when he reveals that he has lost his memory and does not remember her at all. Freya is shattered, but when Fratley leaves again, she says nothing. During her search, she prepared herself for the worst; knowing that he's alive was relief enough, even if he had no memory of her. Freya subsequently takes on a secondary role in the story, and nothing more of significance happens to her.Paine
She is eighteen years old, and uses a sword for combat. As part of one of Final Fantasy X-2's side-quests, the player can collect from around the world of Spira Key Items called "Crimson Spheres". These spheres document Paine's experiences as a warrior-fighter for the Crimson Squad, which was intended to be an elite unit to surpass the Crusaders; the best members were to be assigned to lead Crusader chapters across Spira. These spheres reveal that Paine had been the recorder for a group of candidates named Nooj, Baralai, and Gippal, the game's present day leaders of the Youth League, New Yevon, and the Machine Faction, respectivelyMost of the Crimson Squad candidates died during the group's final field exercise, which took place in a cave beneath Mushroom Rock Road called "the Den of Woe". This followed as a result of the pyreflies in the cave overwhelming them with the despair of the unsent named "Shuyin", causing them to turn on one another. Only Nooj, Baralai, Gippal and Paine escaped alive, but later, Nooj – possessed by Shuyin himself – fired on his friends, effectively ending their friendship for two years. Just before Yuna joined the group, Paine enlisted in the Gullwings in the hopes of finding out more about why the Crimson Squad had been massacred – and because she had long desired to fly in an airship. Rikku(not to be confused with Riku)
is a playable character in the PlayStation 2 games Final Fantasy X and most notably in Final Fantasy X-2. She is a lively, kind-hearted young Al Bhed girl with blonde hair and spiral-shaped pupils instead of the ordinary "dots" – features that all Al Bhed share – and is highly skilled in mechanics, alchemy and thievery. She is the daughter of Al Bhed leader Cid, the younger sister of Brother, and younger cousin of Yuna, whom she calls "Yunie." Cid was known for his lack of subtlety, and Rikku would urge him to learn some restraint. She speaks English as fluently as if it were her first language, often makes strange hand gestures, makes humor in anxious or dangerous situations, and makes liberal use of the term "big meanie" when she feels someone is being annoying or nasty. Maria
Maria is the heroine of Final Fantasy II. Sister to Leon and adoptive sister to Firion, Maria is a kind-hearted and strong-willed individual. After the Emperor's attack on Fynn, Maria greatly suffers inside from the disappearance of her brother, and thus becomes very determined to find him. Though female protagonists of the Final Fantasy series often develop a romantic relationship with a male hero, Maria seems to be void of a love interest, but she does dance with Firion at the Waltz part of the game, and she does have a good relationship with him. Noa
Noa is the main female protagonist. She is an orphan and has been raised by the Ra-Seru Terra, who, while raising Noa, attached itself to a wolf. Due to living most of her life alone in Snowdrift Cave with Terra the wolf, she is childish and ignorant; the outside world is new to her. She joins Vahn in his quest to destroy the Mist. She wants to see the world and meet her parents, who call to her in her dreams. She uses claws or tonfa batons to fight, and her Ra-Seru, Terra, is wind elemental. Later in the game, she discovers that she is the daughter of the King and Queen of Conkram. Lulu
is a twenty-two year old black mage and one of Yuna's guardians. Her basic physical attacks are weak initially, but she is the only character (other than Kimahri) to be able to use Black Magic at that stage of the game. Lulu sends dolls – including cactuars, moogles, and other Final Fantasy creature types – to attack enemies by proxy.Born on the island of Besaid, where she grew up with Wakka, Yuna, and Wakka's younger brother, Chappu, Lulu is often stern and scathing (particularly to Wakka). However, she is nonetheless caring toward others. She is also highly intelligent, and is one of the few Yevonites who easily questions the Yevon religion on objective terms. She is well endowed, and is often compared to Tifa Lockhart in this regard. Before becoming a guardian to Yuna, Lulu guarded two previous summoners whose pilgrimages abruptly ended prematurely. Her second pilgrimage, that of Father Zuke, ended in the Calm Lands (a common decision among summoners). The pilgrimage of the first summoner Lulu guarded, Lady Ginnem, was cut short by her death in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. This event still troubles Lulu's memories, but when Yuna and company detour to the valley where the cave is located, Lulu decides to face her painful memories. At the back of the cave, the group meets the unsent bodily shell of Lady Ginnem. Lulu felt that she must fulfill a last duty to Ginnem as a guardian in ensuring that her spirit would depart to rest peacefully on the Farplane. After fighting and defeating Yojimbo – the aeon having been summoned by Ginnem – Ginnem's spirit departs for the Farplane. Lulu had been romantically involved with Wakka's younger brother, Chappu, and his death at the hands of Sin affected Lulu greatly. However, Wakka and Lulu fall in love and marry six months after Final Fantasy X, with her adopting his surname. In Final Fantasy X-2, Lulu gives birth to Wakka's child, "Vidina." Lady ashe
Ashe or Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca is a 19 year-old Hume princess and main female protagonist of the game, fighting to liberate her kingdom, Dalmasca, from the Archadian Empire. The only living child of King Raminas and the sole heir to the throne, she married Rasler Heios Nabradia shortly before Archadia's invasion of Dalmasca. Her husband died in the battle to protect Nalbina Fortress (on the border of fellow Nabradia, Rasler's home state), making Ashe a young widow. Though their people believed that their marriage was political, they actually loved each other, evident as she still grieves for him and still wears her wedding ring two years after his death. She was thought to have died, but took on the alias, Amalia, to serve as the leader of the Resistance before joining the group. Her intention on getting revenge on Archadia, for the horrors its militant forces had committed on her people, was manipulated by the Occuria to reinforce their rule over Ivalice. Along the course of the story, the Occuria created an image of the late Rasler to lead Ashe wherever they needed her to go. In their encounter, the Occuria offered her Nethicite to rule as another Dynast-King, and conquer Ivalice at their stead. At the final moment, however, Ashe rejects the Occuria's offer and declined to use the Nethicite.Ashe acknowledges Larsa's intention to stop the war between the two empires, and finally makes her way to Vayne in the Sky Fortress Bahamut to end it.A year after the Bahamut's crash, Ashe is crowned Queen of Dalmasca and eventually rejoins her friends in protecting the peace they had ensured from the mysterious Judge of Wings. Penelo
is a 17 year old Hume orphan who works as a dancer in a Rabanastre bazaar and is a motherly figure to the other orphans, though they tend to make fun of her cooking skills. She learned martial arts from her now-deceased older brother, a soldier, and though small in stature, she is perfectly capable of handling herself in sticky situations. She has known Vaan since childhood, and is a sister to him, as her parents adopted him. Her parents, having taken Vaan in to care for him after his own parents died, encouraged Penelo to like Vaan; having placed the two together when young, Vaan and Penelo care about each other a lot. Fran
is a viera warrior and is as much at ease with a sword as she is her bare hands. Her proficiency with a blade is matched only by her skill with a wrench, as she also handles the maintenance of Balthier's airship, the Strahl. The lifespan of the viera is far greater than that of humes, and many secrets lie hidden in her long history. Yet this does nothing to diminish the bond of trust between her and Balthier.Fran's hometown is Eruyt Village, a small enclave in Golmore Jungle where the viera dwell. She left Eruyt Village and cast aside the Green Word fifty years prior to the events occurring in the game, believing that although her kind begin with the forest, they do not necessarily have to be bound to its end. She had no intention to return to the Wood ever again until she and the others needed to get to Mt. Bur-Omisace, which lay past Golmore; unfortunately, the paths are sealed by Jote, Fran's older sister. Though normally the viera would let none pass, Vaan's brashness convinces Jote to reveal that Fran and Jote's younger sister, Mjrn, had left the woods to explore the Henne Mines, and was taken by the humes. They depart for the Mines, finding Mjrn possessed by Venat. Upon their return back to Eruyt, Fran admits that she sometimes regrets the choice she made years ago, as she is no longer able to hear the forest, and fears the Wood hates her for leaving. Jote assures her otherwise. Fran is skeptical, thinking Jote was just trying to comfort her.She leaves with the party, claiming to have become like a hume, and at ease with her conscience.Fran, like all viera, is exceptionally susceptible to the Mist that permeates Ivalice; with the burning of mist within Nethicite affect her from entering a feral rage, when Judge Ghis heated the Dawn Shard in his airship's engine, to being severely overwhelmed like with the Sun Cryst. Likewise, she could tell that the Mist was cooled in the Giruvegan. Of all the characters, she seems to be the wisest - fitting, as she is far older than the rest of the cast, despite her youthful appearance. Windleaf(Shadow madness)
Joins Stinger after her secluded sylvan village gets attacked. She found Stinger to be immature and annoying at times And had to part Stinger and Harv-5 many times during their journey. Her beauty woed many the people on their journey including Stinger himself. She used a piercing bow and magic skills to rid her enemy. Millenia
Millenia is somewhat of a mystery. Initially, it is unknown where she is from, although it is evident that she is part of Valmar's body which has escaped and apparently taken human form following the failure of the ceremony at Garmia Tower. Without provocation, she attacks the village where Ryudo and Elena are resting in anticipation of another trip. Her personality is brash, immature, self-confident to the point of arrogance, and seductive; yet, at the same time someone who manages to look past all that might realize she also has the innocence and caring attitude of a little girl - not quite what one would expect from a piece of the god of darkness. She appears from time to time, and absorbs pieces of Valmar following certain boss battles. By doing so, she gains a special move from each, adding to her repertoire. It is never explained why Millenia differs so radically from the other parts of Valmar, which are completely evil and rather single mindedly destructive.Millenia's magic and mentality are much higher than Elena's, but despite this, her defense will get her killed all the time. when angry, she bursts in rage and can't be controlled. Her initial moves include Arrow Shot, Heel Crush, and Fallen Wings. She can learn Starving Tongue after battling the Tongue of Valmar, Spellbinding Eye after battling the Eye of Valmar, and Grudging Claws after battling the Claws of Valmar. She can also attack from a distance with her crossbow. Mia
is a 17-year-old Mercury Adept from the wintry town of Imil, and is one of the last living descendants of the Mercury Clan. As a Mercury Adept, Mia is able to use Psynergy to conjure sorcery based on water and ice, like the rest of her mostly departed clan, including one of the other known living descendants, Alex. Mia had previously held Alex as her apprentice, and as the custodians of the Mercury clan their sworn responsibilities were to live as the healers of the populace and to ensure that the Mercury Lighthouse near town is never lit. However, Alex betrays that charge by siding with Saturos and activating the Mercury Lighthouse's beacon with him, and subsequently departing Imil with Saturos; in response, Mia joins the party of the young warrior Isaac in his objective to pursue and stop Saturos, Alex, and their group from releasing the potentially volatile force of Alchemy throughout the world. Mia becomes the designated healing figure to Isaac’s party in their journey from then on through Golden Sun and throughout most of The Lost Age.Throughout Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Isaac and Mia do not encounter Alex again for the duration of their journey across Weyard, even as they succeed in slaying Saturos. Late in the game, however, they receive the revelation from Felix's traveling party that Alchemy's return is in all actuality necessary for the world to physically survive, so they join Felix in finishing Saturos' objective and travel to Mars Lighthouse, the last Lighthouse that needs to be lit for Alchemy to return. the Wise One reveals to them that both Isaac’s party and Saturos’ have been played for fools from the start; the entire effort of the Adepts to restore Alchemy has been taken advantage of by the Water Adept, Alex, who is now at Mt. Aleph awaiting the restoration of Alchemy to occur there so that he can gain unimaginable power for himself. Everyone is thunderstruck; Mia, in particular, feels outright sick with disgust that her own clanmate of the Mercury Clan would employ such a base tactic for self-gain, and she is later heard voicing that she will never forgive Alex for using their epic conflicts to his advantage. When the world is saved and Alex turns up missing, Mia returns to her serene disposition. Jenna
a 17-year-old red haired, female Mars Adept from Vale, is the younger sister of Felix. It is also hinted by Sheba that she and Isaac are "an item". A more outgoing, tomboyish girl than others, Jenna travels the full spectrum of depression and joy through the course of the two games in the Golden Sun series. She lived in Vale with her brother and their friends Isaac and Garet, but three years she was emotionally traumatized by the Mt. Aleph boulder disaster which appeared to cause the deaths of all her immediate family, including Felix. Early in Golden Sun, however, Saturos and Menardi pilfer Mt. Aleph of three of the four Elemental Stars necessary to activate the four Elemental Lighthouses situated across Weyard which would cause Alchemy to be returned to the world. Saturos' group, which includes a very alive Felix, takes Jenna hostage and forces her into their company for Isaac to follow so that she could later on be used as a bargaining chip for Isaac to give them the fourth Star which he now holds. In being the hostage that Isaac and Garet hope to free, Jenna becomes the conventional "Damsel in Distress" throughout Golden Sun.In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, after the deaths of Saturos and Menardi, Felix is to lead the remaining members of the group out on the rest of their quest to restore Alchemy, and Jenna becomes a playable party member. By this time she has learned the amazing truth from Felix: that their parents are alive and well in the colony of Prox, and they will be set free by Prox once Saturos' quest has been completed, so Jenna is more than willing to participate in the objective of her hostage-takers. After a long and dramatic quest across Weyard, Isaac and Felix sort out their differences and join forces, much to Jenna's delight, and they set out to activate the one remaining Lighthouse. The Wise One stands in their way, however, intent on stopping them from disobeying his command to Isaac to keep Alchemy sealed, and he forces them to battle a creation called the Doom Dragon. After the Adepts slay the beast, they tragically realize that they have slain an amalgam of Jenna parents; she undergoes outward grief that prompts her friends to lash out and curse the Wise One’s name for his cruel deceit. However, she sees the resolve of Isaac and Felix in their lighting of the Mars Lighthouse, and finds the strength to agree with them that this was the price necessary to save all the inhabitants of Weyard, a price worth paying. But when Alchemy is restored, their parents are revived and nursed back to health, per the Wise One's plan, and Jenna is completely uplifted. Princess Zelda
is a fictional character in The Legend of Zelda series of video games. She is a member of Hyrule's royal family and plays an integral role in the history of Hyrule. Though she is the eponymous character, the player takes control of the hero, Link. Usually, Zelda is in some way kidnapped or imprisoned by Ganon, also known as Ganondorf. In some games she appears as one of the sages (wise men and women). In later games she has been shown to be a form of prophetess. In Ocarina of Time and The Minish Cap she displays other magical powers, such as powerful attacks and force fields. Princess Medea
Medea is the daughter of King Trode. She was turned into a horse when her father was cursed by Dhoulmagus. She travels with the heroes by pulling the cart with their supplies. She and the Hero are close childhood friends. With her recommendation the Hero rose through the ranks of the palace guards. She eventually gains the ability to enter his dreams to talk with him, after they visit the mystical spring when they need to find out information about the "Sun Mirror".Princess Nina
Nina, who shares her name with the heroine of each previous Breath of Fire title, and the reigning princess of the Kingdom of Windia. Aryll
Aryll is Link's younger sister. She has a liking of seagulls, who flock to the lookout tower on her and Link's home, Outset Island. Her name was apparently derived from seeds called arils.[citation needed]She is the first character that is introduced in The Wind Waker, and is captured by Ganondorf's forces early in the game, forcing Link to go after her and instigating the events of the game. After Link rescues her from the Forsaken Fortress, Ganondorf's lair, she stays with Tetra's pirates for the remainder of the game and is not seen until the ending credits. In the first play-through, she wears a light-blue dress with red flowers on it. In the second play-through, she wears a maroon-colored dress with white skulls on it, the same dress she wears in the Forsaken Fortress and ending sequence. Tetra
A pretty and adventurous young girl named Tetra leads her band of pirates across the Great Sea in search of a legendary treasure, the Triforce, hidden beneath the waves. Her destiny becomes entwined with Link's, and eventually, King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule explains that Tetra is actually Princess Zelda. During the final battle, Zelda helps by slowing down Ganondorf with the Light Arrows she borrows from Link. This is the second time Zelda participates in a battle in the series, and she plays a more active role than she did in Ocarina of Time. Medli
Medli is a young Rito girl who lives on the island of Dragon Roost, home of the Rito people and Valoo, the Dragon Spirit of the Skies. She is a child who, when Link meets her, is coming into her role as Valoo's attendant, a position she inherited from her predecessor, Komali's grandmother, who was also her teacher. She is a very brave girl who, when Link arrives at Dragon Roost, enters the dungeon under Valoo to try and calm him down.Later in the game, after Link meets Laruto, the previous Sage of Earth whose soul was robbed, Link heads back to Dragon Roost and awakens Medli as the new Earth Sage, as the harp she had also inherited from Komali's grandmother means that being the Earth Sage is her destiny. Medli goes with Link through the Earth Temple, and plays the "Earth God's Lyric" with Laruto at the end to bring back half of the power to the Master Sword. She then stays at the temple to continue to pray for the gods. In the ending, she appears on the pirate ship with Makar, the Wind Sage. She is a skilled harp player and uses it when praying in the Earth Temple. It is said that she is somewhat of a motherly figure to Prince Komali, who instead has a crush on her. Princess Ruto
is the daughter of King Zora and the princess of the Zora race. As a child, she has a rather bossy and spoiled attitude possibly founded in her royal upbringing, and is also somewhat of a tomboy like Princess Zelda. Link first meets her in the belly of Lord Jabu-Jabu, the Zora's sacred guardian for whom she dutifully cares, who had accidentally swallowed her and the Spiritual Stone of Water — the Zora's Sapphire — while being fed. The Zora's Sapphire is Ruto's most treasured possession, as it once was her mother's, and she thus demands that Link carry her around Lord Jabu-Jabu's innards and help her find it. Ruto's mother requested that she give it to the man who would be her husband, and so, after Link rescues her, she happily hands it over to him and considers them to be engaged. After Ganondorf takes over Hyrule, Zora's Domain freezes over and traps the Zoras under the ice. Fortunately for Ruto, she is rescued by Sheik and immediately heads to the Water Temple to find the cause of this curse. When Link comes upon her in the temple, she scolds him for keeping her waiting seven years to marry him, saying, "I have not forgotten the vows we made to each other." When Link completes the Water Temple, Ruto is awakened as the Sage of Water, and gives Link the Water Medallion. Thereafter she states that while she would love nothing more than to offer her eternal love to him, they cannot be together, at least not until his quest is over.During the childhood chapters in the Ocarina of Time manga, Ruto aims to be swallowed by Jabu-Jabu on purpose because she disapproves of the husband her father arranged for her to marry. She gives Link the Zora's Sapphire out of her new-found feelings for him after he saved her life. She has a huge crush on Link and truly believes that they are meant for each other. Ruto shares her name with a town in The Adventure of Link, and is also similar to Queen Rutela's, from Twilight Princess. Faris

Faris joins permanently after King Tycoon's speech and becomes one of the Four Warriors of Light. Her true gender is unwillingly revealed in the Ship Graveyard when Bartz and Galuf try to take "his" clothes off to dry by the fire. She explains that she was found by pirates when she was very young, and had disguised her gender so she could be taken more seriously among them. Some of the pirates may suspect her true gender, as they describe her as pretty and some seem to have developed crushes on her. Though she realizes that she is Lenna's sister because they have the same pendant (partly because the illusion of her father overpowers her, and she steps forward shortly before he disappears in the Wind Shrine), she does not reveal it until King Tycoon later addresses Faris as his daughter, immediately before they fall into the ruins beneath Ronka.
Faris is protective of her sister, Lenna, and she is also bold and assertive, in clear command over her crew. Faris also has a strong dislike of being excluded or left behind. This may stem from a childhood incident when she fell into the sea and was separated from her father (King Tycoon) and sister. In turn, she was found by pirates and raised as one of them (she was named "Faris" by one of the pirates due to her mispronouncing her own name as "Farifa"). When the party returns to Tycoon Castle, Faris is dressed as a princess, but is very vocal in her dislike of her new, fancy clothing and she runs away from the castle reception to rejoin Gus and Krile not long afterwards
Krille

is Galuf's
granddaughter. She has the unique ability to speak with moogles, dragons, chocobos, and other animals, including the spirit of Syldra. She is the youngest party member. Krile is an energetic and determined girl, and this as well as her ability to make light of a serious situation makes her one of the first "perky young girl" characters in Final Fantasy, setting the stage for the characters of Relm, Yuffie, Selphie, Eiko, Rikku, and Penelo. Krile is connected to the element of Earth.
Tio

Tio is an automata, a forgotten remnant from the war between Granas and Valmar 10,000 years ago. Dormant under a castle for 10,000 years and infused with a part of Valmar for safe-keeping, she is encountered by Ryudo and his party during an expedition into the hidden automata factory. Initially hostile due to orders to attack intruders, her fight with the party as a part of Valmar knocks her systems offline for a short time, causing Mareg to bring her to the above world. After lingering around and being told to "be free" several times, Mareg develops sympathy for Tio, who lacks any sort of feeling or emotion. Tio's personality initially simply does not exist: She is an automata and personalities are not encoded into war machines. Over the course of the game, however, she develops a motherly personality from being with the party. Her ability to truly express her emotions fully blossoms after Mareg's departure from the party. Additionally, she obtains the skill Whisper to the Stars after this happens.
Namine

Naminé is revealed to be a "special Nobody" born from Kairi's heart when it left Sora's body. As Kairi had no darkness in her heart, her heart hid within Sora's body instead of becoming a Heartless when Destiny Islands was consumed by darkness. When Sora impaled himself with the dark Keyblade, his body and soul were used to create not only Roxas, but Naminé as well. As a result of this, she has none of Kairi's memories. Naminé's special birth in conjunction with the fact that Kairi's heart had been in direct contact with Sora's is
why, DiZ states, that Naminé's special powers could only affect the memories of Sora and those whose hearts are connected to his, which was why she was used by Organization XIII. Despite DiZ's orders, Naminé visits Roxas in Twilight Town. She appears to him several times, often before he is attacked by Nobodies, acting somewhat as a guide to him. Riku was instructed by DiZ to destroy Naminé since he has no more need of her. However, as seen in
KH2 Final Mix, Riku decided to let her go with Axel to repay the favor to her for Castle Oblivion. She is not seen again until near the end of the game where she frees Kairi and Pluto from imprisonment and they attempt to escape from the Organization's stronghold. Naminé gives up her own existence as an independent entity and fuses with Kairi to complete her, just as Roxas had with Sora in the beginning of the game.
Maya

A girl with a troubled past. She is of decent from an ancient and ruined kingdom named Kabel that concisted of magicians, and so Maya can utilize Magic. At a young age she lost control of her powers, which resulted in the death of her parents, the shock of which caused her to lose her voice. Lang meets her early in his journey, after he is taken to prison. When Lang breaks out, he takes Maya with him. At first, she is mute and cannot attack. Maya is only 14 years old, and so she is naive and often irritates Sharon at her lack of understanding of Male-Female relationships. She also strives to win at anything she does, and ends up becoming a sort of rival with Nancy over cooking, and with Sharon over Lang. If the player is nice to Maya during conversations, she ends up displaying a crush on Lang. Maya demonstrates her ability to use Magic when she again loses control of it during the party's first encounter with Doplin's pet demon Slogar. This act isn't enough to kill Slogar, but it renders him vulnerable to attacks, allowing Lang and Kazan to defeat. In the aftermath of the battle she recovers her voice. During the party's second encounter with Slogar (this time under the name Zoan Stoara) she finally manages to control her magic, again making Slogar vulnerable and allowing her to finally attack. Maya's origin is Rivas, the origin of life.
Alexia

Princess of Varuna. She's searching for her father, the King of Varuna. Follows Flint around most of the time and, like most Princesses, gets kidnapped pretty often. Carries a sword even though she doesn't seem to have a clue on how to use it.
Saria
is a Kokiri girl who befriended Link while he was growing up in Kokiri Forest. Like all Kokiri, she is unable to leave the forest. She gives Link the Fairy Ocarina as a memento of their friendship as he leaves Kokiri Forest for Hyrule Castle. She later teaches him Saria's Song, the magical powers of which enable Link to communicate with her from afar. When Link returns as an adult, he contacts Saria via ocarina. She explained that the forest spirits were calling out to her from the Forest Temple. When she went to investigate, evil spirits and monsters imprisoned her. Link rescues her after defeating the four Poe Sisters and Phantom Ganon. Saria is awakened as the Forest Sage and gives Link the Forest Medallion. In the game, Saria is one of only three Kokiri to enter the Lost Woods (the other two being Mido and Fado). It is suggested that if the Kokiri wander too deep into the forest and remain there for too long, they will eventually become Skull Kids. If wandering Hylians do so, they will become Stalfos. Should a kokiri leave the Kokiri Forest, they will become a stalchild, a variation of Stalfos. The Kokiri children admired Saria for her kindness and for being the only one of her people to thoroughly navigate the Lost Woods. The Kokiri did not know she was a Sage, which may have guarded her from danger while traveling alone in the woods. Saria's favorite place in the entire forest was the Sacred Forest Meadow. When Link is an adult, he finds Mido in the Lost Woods, who comments that Saria had a secret love interest in Link.Arcia
